He chronically weaves in and out of manic behavior changes, although the measure of how genuine his spells of insanity are could most likely be debated. He also has the tendency to view himself as a sort of martyr of his own mistakes, and will on occasion make convoluted attempts to purge himself of his guilt by trying to make peace with those he feels he has wronged.
